spic wechat: turkey energy minister visits spic
from march 23-25, 2016, turkish minister of energy and natural resources berat albayrak and his delegation visited spic, and spic chairman wang binghua met with the visiting delegation.
during the visit, the turkish delegation went to the haiyang nuclear power plant ap1000 project site, shanghai nuclear engineering research and design institute (snerdi) and sep caojing power plant under the flag of spic, with a deep understanding of china鈥檚 nuclear power development situation and trend, the safety, economy and construction progress of cap1400 nuclear technology. the delegation also conducted a field survey on the r&d and equipment design system of snerdi.
wang binghua introduced the overall situation of spic鈥檚 businesses, as well as the related situation of ap1000 supporting project in construction and the major demonstration project of cap1400. regarding the well-developed cooperation between spic and turkish companies in recent years, wang expressed that spic is willing to deepen and further explore cooperation with turkish companies in the fields of nuclear power, coal-fired power, hydropower and new energy.
albayrak was deeply impressed by spic鈥檚 r&d capability in nuclear power and its world-leading technological level in coal-fired power generation. he introduced the turkish new government鈥檚 strategy of vigorously pushing forward energy, and expressed that turkey is in the process of energy transformation, and will pay attention to diversified energy structures in the future, with powerful advancement of energy market liberalization reform. turkish ministry of energy and natural resources will positively bolster the energy cooperation projects between china and turkey, and assist in the deployment of turkish new nuclear power projects.
