in 2019, several subsidiaries of sep obtained the support from "shanghai special fund for energy conservation and emission reduction" and "financial fund for green development of chemical industry park", totaling rmb 25.48 million, which was rmb 16.58 million more than the aggregate amount received in 2017 and 2018.
"shanghai special fund for energy conservation and emission reduction" is a special fund set up by shanghai municipal government to increase support for the city's energy conservation and emission reduction, low-carbon development and response to climate change, involving more than 20 types of sub-funds in separate fields of industry, traffic, agriculture, architecture, urban governance, etc., among which there are "special fund for renewable energy and new energy development ", "special fund for natural gas distributed energy supply and gas air conditioning development", " special fund for clean production", " special fund for industrial energy conservation and contract energy management", "special fund for energy consumption online monitoring system ", etc. in the industry.
in the past two years, sep has been committed to promoting new technology application, improving equipment efficiency, strengthening pollutant emissions, and attaching great importance to circular economy development in response to the call of shanghai municipal government. based on completing the assessment on total coal consumption in 2018, the company won the approval from a number of municipal government departments and obtained special funds support for energy saving and emission reduction in 2019 thanks to the cooperation of various subsidiaries. among them, sep green energy new bund project was awarded rmb 6.4 million subsidy of "special fund for natural gas distributed energy supply and gas air conditioning development"; wujing power plant and caojing power plant did an excellent job in clean production, passed the clean production audit and won rmb 2.45 million and 3 million (capped) of "special fund for clean production" respectively; caojing cogeneration agp renovation project significantly improved the efficiency of 9f class gas turbine, and was honored rmb 5 million (capped) of "special fund for industrial energy conservation and contract energy management"; as required by shanghai municipal development and reform commission, wujing power plant, wujing power generation, waigaoqiao power plant and caojing power plant took the lead in accessing the government platform with the first-level energy consumption data under the unified planning of sep, and obtained "special fund for online energy consumption monitoring system" totaling rmb 600,000 (capped).
in addition, caojing power plant external evaporation air cooler energy saving project received rmb 3.15 million subsidy of "financial fund for green development of chemical industry park" in the first half of 2019, and the vacuum pump renovation project and mggh retrofit project obtained a total of rmb 4.88 million subsidies from "financial fund for green development of chemical industry park" in the second half of the year.
